Chicken and Dumplings. With the easiest dumpling recipe!

Chicken and Dumplings is the perfect meal on a cold day, when you're feeling sick, or any time you need a delicious comfort food.

It's nutritional, easy to make, and budget friendly. That's my favourite kind of recipe.

Ingredients:

*Chicken base ingredients

4 Small chicken breast or 2 Large breast (about 1 pound)

3 Carrots peeled and diced

8 cups of Chicken stock or 8 cups of water+1/4 cup chicken bouillon

2 Tablespoons Italian Seasoning

1 Tablespoon Garlic

1 Tablespoon Chopped dehydrated onions

1 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon salt

Dumpling Ingredients

1 cup flour

1 cup water

A pinch of salt and pepper

How to make:

Put all of your Chicken base ingredients into a pot.

Cover and bring to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes.

Remove chicken and dice it up. Careful it's hot! Add it back to the pot.

Turn pot to medium heat so it remains at a low boil.

Mix together your dumpling ingredients in a bowl.

Drop the mixture into the hot soup from varying heights to form the dumplings.

Do NOT stir.

Cover and cook 5 more mintues.

Gently stir and break up any big dumplings into bite sized pieces.

Cook uncovered for 5 mintues to allow broth to thicken slightly.
