Tuna and Couscous, A home cooked meal in less than 10 minutes!
This isn't exactly a “from scratch" recipe, but it is a quick and easy recipe that you can keep in your prepper pantry or as a backup fast food option for your family.
Personally we use it for a quick, less than 10 minute meal when we have a crazy busy day or if we need a take along meal for a camping trip.
This recipe is so easy, are you ready for the ingredients?
Ingredients:
3 Flavored packets of Tuna (or more, 1 packet for person is good.)
2 cups of Couscous (or more, 0.5-1 cups of Couscous per person).
2 Tablespoons of Butter
1 Tablespoons of Parmesan Cheese
2 cups of hot water
Any additional seasonings you want to use.
To make-
Add all ingredients but water into a bowl.
Boil water.
Add boiling water to bowl.
Cover with a lid or plate.
Let sit 5-10 minutes
It's ready to serve!
At home, I pair this with a canned veggie or two. If we're on a trip, I just serve it like this. It is extremely filling and packed with protein!
