Meatless Chili: A Prepper Pantry Recipe
When preparing for the future, everyone talks about creating a prepper pantry, but now one talks about recipes you can make from that prepper pantry.
I am developing recipes that can be used during times that you need to rely heavily on your prepped pantry.
Think natural disaster, loss of income, or the apocalypse.
In any situation that may occur, you will need a hearty meal that you can feed your family, and meatless chili is one of my go-tos.
This recipe is based solely on shelf stable ingredients.
Watch our Youtube video to see how its made!
Ingredients
1 Cup Kidney Beans
1 Cup Green Lentils
1 C Black Beans
28 oz Can of Crushed Tomatoes
4 Cups of Water
3 Tbsp of Beef Stock Powder or 3 Beef Bullion Cubes
2 Tbsp of Dehydrated Onion
1 Tbsp of Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp of Chili Powder
1 tsp of Paprika
1 tsp of Cumin
1 tsp of pepper
1/2 tsp of salt
How to Cook:
Throw everything in one pot and cook until beans are done!
I know that sounds to simple, but it really is that easy.
You can cook these beans:
In a Instant Pot, for 1 hour.
In a Crockpot for 8 hours on high or 12 hours on low.
On the stove top for 6-8 hours, bring to a boil and then let simmer.
You will know it is done when the beans are soft and creamy.
